As a teenager in Flint, Michigan my passion was oil painting. After attending the Chicago Academy of Art in 1960, I worked in advertising agencies and commercial art studios and then opened and operated a photography studio specializing in fashion and industrial advertising. My passions next turned to the stage and during 1967 I was invited to New York to direct a play.
I worked 25 years as a theater producer and director in Manhattan and regionally, completing an MA/Theater at Binghamton University by ’93. I taught play writing from a producer/director P.O.V. at Binghamton and SUNY-Purchase until switching to word-processing and computer graphics in ’95 to pay off my student loan. I have over 20 years experience as a computer graphics and desktop publishing specialist, overlapping 15 years at website design and development. My web design site is cyberpagedd.com.
I recently studied drawing and painting at the Flint Institute of Arts School in Michigan while caring for my parents. Now residing in the Portland area I am now reliving my teenage passion of drawing and painting.
